To the city of Waterfalls -- Hamilton, Canada!

From here onward, the blog is a dedicated online journal of my internship life in Canada through AIESEC's Go! Exchange programme. Expect lots of photos and posts on life at Hamilton and the surrounding areas!

I'm going to work as an intern Canada as part of my practicum (Industrial Training) programme. I definitely could have interned back at home in Malaysia but instead I chose to go abroad to gain an added advantage against my peers. (I am the only one going abroad)

My decision was influenced by two main sources: AIESECers and my seniors. My degree, BSc. (Hons) Agribusiness Management is not an easy match to find in AIESEC's database of companies but nonetheless, there it was, halfway across the world in Canada! I tried applying for several companies located in Taiwan, Canada, Italy and France for various positions in marketing, HR business admin and agriculture but I only got shortlisted for France and Canada.

Seeing my predecessors in the previous term going for their life-changing experience elsewhere had me thinking: should I go? Of course, money is definitely an issue; so I projected a possible budget based on my pay there in Canada; I was to work as an Assistant Researcher in the Agricultural Research department in Greenhorizons Group of Farms Ltd.
